The  design and the development of a futuristic and very interactive Smart Mirror with artificial intelligence for the ambient home automation and commercial uses in the organization also in public environments. This application collects the real-world machine data and displayed it to the user based on his / her requirements. The complete control of Smart Mirror is done by the Raspberry Pi module. This Smart Mirror is implemented using some of the peripheral devices like LCD Screen, microphone, speakers and two-way acrylic sheet to cover the LCD Screen and powered by the Raspberry Pi. The features of the Smart Mirror are weather of the city, latest news updates, date and time. We can interact with the Smart Mirror through the voice commands.The Smart Dressing Mirror is a system that combines these tasks in an efficient and enjoyable way to provide time savings for the user. The objective of this project was to design a device that acted as a “Smart Dressing Mirror” by displaying the customizable information on the display and control home Appliances with the help of  IOT technlogy.Mirrors add light to your interior, just like windows. Feel free to use them in any place you wish. A well-placed mirror gives a room a bright and an open feeling. Many people use mirrors primarily for beautification. However, few consider them as a great complement to the interior, or as a practical helper for optical enlargement of any space. The Smart Mirror is a system that combines these tasks in an efficient and enjoyable way to provide time savings for the user.

Project Objectives

The objective of this project was to design and prototype a device that acted like a “Mirror” by displaying the user’s customizable information on the display. A “Smart Dressing Mirror” is a device that acts as a traditional mirror while also display informational data, which can be customized by the user. The mirror also allows for user interaction with some of the data displays. Users are able to create a profile and customize the visual interface to display what specific data feeds they want.

Project Implementation Method

The methodology selected in completing this project. A methodology in this context refers to the splitting of development work to distinct phases containing activities with the goal of a better planning and management.  METHODOLOGIES The prototype we built mainly focus on natural language understanding so that the user do not need to remember any of the commands to use the mirror. The voice and speech recognition system helps us to achieve the goal of our project. Second thing we need to focus in our project is our GUI as it may be similar to many of the diy projects in the internet, we took only few icons like weather, holidays, date, time, news, compliments on the screen for now. we need to take is to check that internet connection is good because the data the user ask should be retrieved from the internet and should process the information and give it to the user. Since we are using a raspberry pi 3 it may be slow sometimes to give the information because of bad internet connection. Main advantage of this is we can built a smart mirror with our PC supporting Linux environment.

Smart Dressing Mirrors are interactive devices that helps you check updates easily with voice control. You can do things at the same time in the morning like brushing your teeth while catching up on the latest stocks updates , weather or traffic. you can watch shows while preparing going to work. Smart Dressing mirrors can help you save time and just multitask.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

A smart mirror is a two-way mirror with an electronic display behind the glass. The display can show the viewer different kinds of information in the form of widgets, such as weather, time, date, and news updates. This product would be useful for busy individuals that want to multitask and stay informed while on the go. Instead of constantly pulling out a device, one could get informed while finishing daily grooming tasks.
