Project Summary
A smart home is a residence that uses internet-connected devices to enable.The remote monitoring and management of appliances and systems, such as lighting and heating.
The summary of this project is to develop a software and hardware system to create a Smart Room. This room should behave rationally and be able to be controlled from a mobile application or IR Remote control.
Project Objectives
The objective is to automatically control fans, lights and other appliances containing IR devices. The idea is to plant several sensors around the room and give a calculated feedback to the response these sensors receive. An example would be having temperature sensors around the department room that would detect the temperature and respond to any change by altering the fan speed. For light control, there will be PIR sensors that would detect employee presence and cause the lights to turn on if employee are near that area.

This project is implement in different organizations such as:
Different Corporations,Multinational Firms and Educational sector and new startup companies as well.
Our FYP is a startup idea.
Benefits of the Project
- Using this project, we can turn on or off appliances i.e. using a phone or tablet.
- The project can be further expanded to a smart room system by including some sensors, like light sensors, temperature sensors etc. and automatically adjust different parameters like room lighting ,air conditioning (room temperature) etc. and transmit the information to our phone.
- Additionally, we can connect to internet and control the class from remote location over internet and also monitor the safety.
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
It has been experimentally proven that room automation is working satisfactorily by linking simple devices plus devices being effectively controlled. The planned system not only controls the light, the fans etc but also takes the participation.
