Smart Cashier Drawer

Cash is the Lifeblood of business. Without proper cash handling its very difficult to achieve business goals for any business. Cash is the most important liquid asset of the business. A business concern cannot prosper and survive without proper control over cash.

In our project, Smart Cashier Drawer we are making IOT based Smart Cashier Drawer in which the machine will keep all sales day-to-day record, automatically cash detection and sales department or sales manager can access all the real time sales data whenever and wherever he wants, by using cloud/android IOT mobile application. This machine will replace manual cash handling from automatic cash handling. We are using Siemens IOT 2040 controller/gateway which is suitable for industrial environment. So, we can use this machine in Shops, Malls and Industry as well. 

When goods are sold from point of sales counter, the received amount is deposited in the input cash tray. The cash is distributed in their respected trays (10,20,50,100,500,1000,5000) with the help of pump and remaining balance is placed at the output tray. The information of net amount entered in the smart cash drawer is sent to the cloud using MQTT protocol. Thus manager can see the amount available in the cash tray and can monitor each sale activity in term of net bill payment through cloud/ integrated IOT mobile application.  

In this project we are going to make easy to control over cash at real time for business.

The main objectives of our projects are as follows:

1. To build smart cash drawer machine that will handle cash automatically
2. To integrate the activity of cash drawer machine with the cloud platform
3. To design and integrate the Android IOT application with cloud platform in order leverage the monitoring from any part of the world.

Making the structure of Smart Cashier Drawer , Cash drawer structure that have Siemens Iot 2040, Camera module, Stepper motor , Suction pump and 12V DC Battery so that it can perform work and automatic cash handling.

Adafruit Data Cloud system and Siemens Iot 2040 control the whole system of Cashier machine and it can be handle the check and balance of all records.

Net deposited amount is pushed to the Adafruit cloud using IOT MQTT protocol and  Sales Manager can access the sales record real time in term of amount sale data from where he want to access by application.

Stepper Motor and Suction Pump performing in this machine play a important role because  stepper motor working in steps how much steps to need to go for any cash box and suction pump will pick the cash in this way inner side of cashier machine box will work.
