The project Smart-Cam provides a way for discovering an object. For now, it mainly concentrates on vehicles that are getting stolen. This project has two sides, the client-side as a web portal through which users can submit their complaints, and the admin-side. This system uses the various camera's in different spots. So one's the desired object is found inside the captured image, the system will automatically inform the owner or any authentic person. So how the system works? first, the user has to submit a complaint, then this information will transfer to the servers. Finally, the Smart-Cam came into action by recognizing the object. Besides that, this project has a wide range of applications, so in the future, we can use this for multiple tasks like traffic analysis, taking attendance, etc.
Objectives of Smart-Cam are:
The implementation method passed through different stages as described below,
1. Hardware Side:
Assembling of hardware components like raspberry pi, camera, battery, etc. After setting all the stuff, get it ready for installation of software.
2. Developing Firmware for Smart-Cam:
After setting the hardware, it's time to develop such a system that detects and recognizes all the objects like vehicles. And definitely, it will use machine learning techniques.
3. Prototyping of a Website:
So here the process of developing a website starts. First I will work on prototyping, and if it meets all the standards and the user tests, then it will proceed to the development phase.
4. Development of a website:
Using the prototype, the front-end will be designed. And at the back-end, it will use all the latest technologies like Node, react, Mongo-DB for databases, etc.
5. Testing:
At this stage, the hardware and software part of this project will be tested for various inputs and conditions. As we have full control of Smart-Cams, we can update firmware even without touching these cams.
