Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThe fish farming has gained the attention of business community over the past few years around the globe. The modern age bio floc fish farming technique has revolutionized the fish farming due to limited space requirement and maximum production of fishes. However, there are certain risks involved with this bio floc fish farming. If not handled properly, these risk may lead to loss in business and death of partial or entire batch. There are several parameters of water, water tanks and fish health which require regular monitoring and quick response in case of any problem. These parameters are water level, water temperature, oxygen level, PH level, ammonia level, light, nitrate level, stand-by power supplies, bacterial and viral attacks etc. .
. Unfortunately, Pakistan is one of the countries where fish farmers are reluctant to adopt the use of modern farming technology due to lake of knowledge and government support. The aim of this project is to develop a smart prototype for bio floc monitoring. This project is specially designed to motivate and equip the farmers of Pakistan with the state of the aquaculture and bio-floc techniques and to educate them on how to get maximum production by using current technologies. The sensor selected for the proposed project is kept limited to read the parameters mentioned above. Data from all the sensors deployed in the field shall be gathered at the server and shared with the farmers through their tablets or smartphone. The information and recommendations will be displayed to the formers in a comprehensive way by using some information visualization techniques. The farmers will also be able to control some of the activities through their app like acquiring the latest data, Turing on/off the water pump, increasing/decreasing oxygen level, starting/stopping electricity supplies, releasing/stopping the water from the tank, etc. we also aim to shift the proposed project to AI domain in future by using the image processing and other ML techniques.
Project ObjectivesThe objectives of the project are to provide the user with the best farming techniques, the latest updates on the farming technology, and upgraded food and to provide them with the best tools to examine the survival and growth of the fishes in the ponds and guide farmers about selling point for fish to get the best reward in the form of money.
Project Implementation MethodThis project will be developed on the app developing tool Android Studio in a framework called Flutter which allows us to build an application in a single codebase Dart that can be deployed on both Android and iOS in the same APK. WSN will be used to monitor and record the physical conditions of the environment of the bio floc. We will be using Firebase Firestore for our databases and for the system diagrams, Microsoft Visio

- This application will suggest feed and fertilizers for the fish's growth based on the water temperature level, PH test, and weather prediction.
- To check the purity of water by checking its PH.
- To sense, observe the water temperature.
- Manage all of the details such as (Seed Expenses, Feed Expenses, and different Bills from the market) through our application.
- To transfer all the data to the android application.
- Fish markets information will also be given.
- Users can easily contact fish hatcheries and the nursing point to get the best seed from them.
- Users will get to know that how much seed they can deploy in the pound by providing the basic information of the pond.
