Smart Autonomous surveillance robot using IOT and Image processing
Project Area of Specialization Cloud InfrastructureProject SummaryOur vision is to make a plug n play brain module which when synchronized with any robot can give us an autonomous surveillance feature to that machine. Our robot would process the environment around it, reading all the signs and following the rules( acting to the signs on road, following traffic signals, etc.). Allowing human intervention when needed and giving a safe autonomous surveillance aspect to a vehicle.
Project Objectivesthe main objective is to make an autonomous vehicle which can be used as a daily life vehicle while also serving the surveillance feeds for security purpose.
Project Implementation MethodWe are adopting the modular approach for this project where the robot is designed on a UNO board. the brain of the project is made on a raspberry pi board. the slave device consists of teh chassis and the Arduino Uno which would be subservient to the master device
Benefits of the Project1. can be used as a test besd for such technology in Pakistan
2. can be marketed to be used a an autnomous warehousing robot
3. gives first hand knowledge and ecperience on begoinner level practical IOT
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe robot consists of Arduino Uno, a motor driver, a battery, and a chassis. the computing part or the decision making part of the project is based on raspberry pi 4 which is programmed using python. Raspberry pi would be working on IoT and image processing through the OpenCV library. should be able to act upon pre-defined functions based on a hierarchy as to how to act in certain scenarios.
