Project Area of Specialization Software EngineeringProject SummarySmart & Secure Campus is a multi-purpose desktop application. It is designed on the latest algorithms to provide efficiency in its working. The application serves as a security protocol that is initially tested on an educational institution. The system will be integrated with the CCTV cameras of the institution (up-gradation of cameras is required for better efficiency). It will serve as a security protocol for any building. it will store the registration number of the vehicles of the members of that particular building. during the entry of the vehicle, it will scan the license plate and if matched with a database, it will allow the entrance. In the case of an unidentified vehicle, it will ask permission from the admin to open the barrier. Furthermore, the application will be integrated with all the cameras inside the building and will give a graphical representation of the total strength of the members inside the building and their location-wise strength to locate members in case of any emergency such as fire breakdown. The application will serve all sorts of purposes that is automating the security protocols as well as lessening the number of security employees. The application could also be used to locate the more visited parts of any building, in the case of an educational institution it could be a library or cafeteria. The application will be required to be connected with an NSC-LPR-832-bt1 camera for best accuracy. A requirement for an expensive camera is a hurdle in the development section of the project. The price for a single camera is around 200$ and the requirement is 2 cameras for the initial model and to market the model in the open market. The idea is of high demand in the market and once developed could be a worthwhile start-up
Project Objectives- Authentication of the vehicle through number plate detection.

- The number count of the total members present in the building.
- Graphical representation of individual percentage of members in different sectors of building.
The system will be installed in any corporate or government building. for initial working, The system will be installed in an educational institution. the system will be integrated with the installed CCTV cameras of the building, The system will work through intranet facility to make sure to intrusion is possible in the security sector. The system would provide efficiency to already enabled old camera system. The project model will be presented as the final product. the real-time product will be delivered upon demand.
Benefits of the ProjectThe product will provide security and safety to the members of the building. It is portable and can be easily moved from one building to another. It will lesser down the number of security employees. The system will provide information about the total number of employees and easily help to cross-check the absentees of the employees. The system will provide an idea of working in particular sectors of the building upon the number of visits provided by the system.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe system is gone through many design constraints and is being developed after a complete survey of the security team of the Foundation University Rawalpindi Campus. The system is being developed in Python and the latest Deep Learning algorithms are being used, The system is made sure to provide efficiency in its working. the use of segmentation technique is being self-coded instead of using OpenCV or APIs. The system is being developed in core programming. Very few libraries are being used by the system. The application is being developed under the constraints of very low computer requirements.
