A machine learning based web application firewall which uses the logs created by the web application being protected and the logs made by itself to modify the core rule sets for ever increasing security. this WAF will impact all individuals and companies large and small which use web apps on daily bases.

Project Objectives

1-it will detect the malicious traffics

2-it will allow to access when the request is not malicious

3-It does this by adhering to a set of policies that help determine what traffic is malicious and what traffic is safe.

4-it will provides security to our websites

5-Attacker will not access your data 6-it will prevent the malicious traffics

Project Implementation Method

Agile methodology is being used to develop this project becouse of its flexibility in going back in the development process and make changes and then mentain those changes

Benefits of the Project

This project is open source and propietory for Pakistan. An adaptive WAF will be used which using Machine learning will make our system to become better over time to counter different application level threats against web applications. Both Intrusion detection and intrusion prevention becomes more effective

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The WAF part is deployed and the web application traffic is rerouted from WAF. The WAF will allow the clean traffic and reject/ discard the melicious one. The decision is made on the bases of the core rule sets defined for decision making. The logs are created for both the clean and melicious traffic for auditing and as an input for our ML model. The ML model takes the traffic and using the defined model will increase the accuracy of our WAF over time by making changes to core rule sets.
