The advancement in the technology increases in the last 20?th century. With the evolution of               smart devices such as washing machine, air condition, smart TV, micro wave etc. The humans are relying more on computers. Today, daily use of computers is inevitable in our life. It is absolutely necessary to develop the machines that will help in our daily life activities.  In addition to other disciplines Computer Science has been playing vital role in advancing medical sciences. Medical devices have increased the interaction between doctors and patients more efficiently. These devices are helpful in detecting the diseases such as breast cancer, brain tumor, etc. Now a days skin issues are very common and can be classified as temporary or permanent. Skin disorder may cause to a minor or serious disorder such as skin cancer. People do not consult the doctor and think that skin problem is minor issue or due to busy time schedule. Therefore, a normal skin problem may lead to a serious disease. Early detection help us to prevent from any serious disease.  People daily use mirror to wash face, comb hair etc. Our aim is to develop a smart mirror in which a camera will be attached with a mirror. When person stands in front of mirror the camera will take snaps of a person. After taking snaps it will detect if there is any issue with                   the skin. E.g. pimples, acne, scars, dryness, According to the skin problem it will prescribe the treatment. Our goal to propose this topic is to detect the human face and recognize the face problems and recommend their treatments.

Project Objectives

• To design a smart mirror for early detection of skin problem.
• To write algorithms for efficient skin disease detection.
• To design a mirror for skin diseases that save time.
• To design a mirror that recommends all the skin problem solutions.
• To save all the information related to skin problem in database.

Project Implementation Method

1. Camera:

When a person stands in front of mirror. Camera detects the face and gets images from camera and save it on the SD Card.

1. Wifi:

Capture images will send to the controller with the help of wireless communication.

1. Controller: 

Fetch images into the database. Controller saves the information of images in the   database.

1. Algorithm:       

Algorithms are used to detect the skin problems and their solutions.

• Disease Description

1.  Response and Recommendation:

Send notifications and recommendations to that person about his skin problems that is store in the database.

• This model provides us treatment and suggestions related to our disease.
• This project also saves our time.

The hardware we are using for our project are:

Total hardware cost of our project is            Rs 24,400
