Project Summary

This report documents the development of system “Silwao-jojo” to be integrated and exposed to Android Store. System requirements are elicited with consultation with the stake holders.

Silwao-jojo is a comprehensive android based solution. Which focuses on providing a platform which enables tailors and customers to contact each other. It enables people to find tailors for any kind of clothing order with ease according to their needs. It also provides tailors a facility to be able to find customers, resulting in giving them a job opportunity. The main idea of this project revolves around in making a connection between the customers and tailors.

The system provides customers a facility to locate nearby tailors or in placing an order to marketplace where different tailors could bid to acquire that order like a freelancer platform. If customer wishes to locate nearby tailor and select a specific tailor for his order, he can do so easily. Customer can keep track of their order status and be in contact with the tailor. Orders placed by customer must have details of their body measurements for stitching purposes. Customer can also locate a nearby tailor to get his body measurements in case he wishes to do so. Tailors in our system are able to bid on orders on the marketplace and they will be notified if an order matching their skillset gets placed on the marketplace. Tailors are able to communicate with the customer using chat system and update the status of order to notify the customer.

Payment in this application is handled using third party services or cash by hand methods. Delivery of cloth can also be done in the same way.

Project Objectives

Our goal is to facilitate the general public and tailors in a certain aspect of their life. To provide them a platform where they will be able to easily find the relevant opportunity – Tailors to find new customers, job opportunities and customers to find tailors to process their clothing orders and needs.

Silwao-jojo is an android based application developed in Flutter and NodeJS along with Dart programming language and JavaScript. So in our case all of the basic libraries along with several others will be used in mentioned technologies.

Through our platform, deserving tailors will get promoted by getting featured on top of search results.
