According to Research Around 466 million people worldwide have disabling hearing loss and 34 million of these are children. It is estimated that by 2050 over 900 million people will have disabling hearing loss. Communication can have a significant impact on everyday life, causing feelings of loneliness, isolation, and frustration, particularly among older people with hearing loss. There is problem of communication barrier between normal and deaf people. There are many designed systems already, but they are wearable based and considered as uncomfortable and not affordable by all.

Project Objectives

Our objective is to do work on career development and contributing our share of effort in Worldwide Growth and success. It is an effort to solve communication barrier between normal and mute people.Basically, We want to provide communication bridge between deaf-bodied and able-bodied through a smart assisting tool. Our aim is to design and implement a system through which normal people can understand their sign language in the form of text/speech with their mood. i.e. “You are free now!”. This sentence can be in the angry/aggressive or happy mood.Our system understands the gesture language w.r.t mood of the deaf people and translate their signs in the grammatically sentence.

Benefits of the Project

1. The interpreter of hand gesture can be cost efficient to make the communication between two persons easy.
2. The problems of deaf persons working in professional environment are solved in many ways as well as in daily life.
3. It is faster to communicate with the voice than text.
4. The translation of voice to the image will give healthy people to communicate with the people with the hearing disorders.
5. It is helpful for the people who have hearing difficulties and in general who use very simple and effective method; sign language.
6. A motion capture system is used for sign language conversion and a voice recognition system for voice conversion.
