This project deals with the management and transaction criteria of the shop management system. Shop is the place where the work is to sales the products prepare bills, maintain purchasing and stock in shop and keep their records, and prepare reports. The aim is to automate its existing manual system by the help of computerized equipments and full- fledge computer software , fulfil their requirements.

Shop management software helps create invoices, product category, purchase order,  receiving list , payment receipt  and can print barcoad label. The shop management will control operating costs and provide better understanding.

Project Objectives

The main objective of the shop management system is to manage the details of stocks, payments, sales, Discounts, products. It manages all the information about stock, inventory, products, sales . This project is totally built at administrative end and thus only the administrator is guaranteed the access. The purpose of this project is to build an application program to reduce the manual work for managing the stock, payments,  inventory, sales . It tracks all the detail about the sales, Discounts, products.

The main objectives behind the development of this project are as follow:

• To assist the staff in capturing the effort spent on their respective working areas .
• To utilized resources of the institution in an efficient manner by increasing their productivity through automation.
• To keep and manipulate supplier information.
• To keep and manipulate product information.
• To provide facility to sale at shop and prepare customer bill.

• To maintain the purchase and stock at shop

• For shop management information system we use  MYSQL for database , php language use for website or java for android application / mobile application.

Benefits of the Project

Shop management is primarily about the specifying the size and placement of stock goods. Shop management is required at different location within a facility or within multiple location of a supply network  to protect the regular and planed at different curse of production against the random disturbance of running out of material or goods.

The scope of shop management system also concern the carrying cost of inventory, asset management, shop forecasting, inventory valuation, inventory visibility, future inventory price forecasting , quality management , replenishment, returns and defective goods and demand forecasting.

Shop management system described to error free, secure, and fast management system for the shop . It can assist the staff to concentrate on their activities rather then to concentrate on the records and reports of computers , cost and customers. This will help organization in better utilization of human resources.

The shop management system can maintain the computerized member register without redundant entries. It can even search a parts, company etc within a moment of time without any trouble from a database of thousand of customers and visitors . That means that one need not be distracted by information that is relevant much more quickly. Instead of conventional reports it can generate more presentable and automated reports. Besides, financial and MIS level report can be generated  to assist the management and concerned   staff.
