Our Project deals with the Transportation and shipment service in Pakistan alongside a proper tracking system. The implementation of our project is only destined for Pakistan. By the end of our project, we hope to make it proper working in Pakistan as the people that do not know about the freight rates and transport system are charged way more.

This issue is faced by many people also some new drivers or entrants in this field so that they can get more customers and people will also have an online service for shipment. With this system we are also implementing a tracking system that will use the authentication from your mobile and the GPS will track your container or truck so that customer will be informed when his parcel will be received or him.

The land Tracking system would be using Personal device assistants for every driver. The sea and airplane tracking system mostly uses the satellite services which are offered on many websites.

Project Objectives

The user will be able to book shipments online. There would be an option to set the date and route of transportation and in case of any mistake, the user could reset and change it accordingly. Containers including details like their types can advertise shipping rates for bookings.

Users will be able to make work more productive and there would be solutions provided to simply their business terms. Company owners can register their companies and can enjoy certain billings options such as invoice management etc.

They will be able to generate reports on profits and other entities. The users on the other hand will be able to see the reports in the form of the company’s historical performance, company trends, services, feedbacks, and ratings. The main objective is also to make an online platform that can be hosted online and also from the local personal computer. The online platform will cover all devices such as mobiles, PCs, ipads etc.

Project Implementation Method

The project will be a web-based project and will be implemented using MERN Stack and also we will develop its PWA.

Benefits of the Project

A lot of time would be saved through a system of shipment and tracking as there is no need for any manual efforts, and you will not have to plan anything using paper and pen. It can be assumed that every sort of vehicle including trucks, loaders, rickshaws, etc. would be separated based on how much weight they could carry and how much time they will take in reaching the destination. This project will adhere to the stages of software development which include:

The main focus is to provide feasibility to the user in terms of efficiency and time-saving. Also, the system will enhance productivity and safety will also be increased in terms of all means. Keeping track of the location of the vehicle will provide ease and time and after the process of that could be managed easily instead of doing estimations. The project interface would not be complicated and would be clear enough so that it could be understood by people who are not experts in the usability of the software.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

In terms of transportation and shipment services will be provided and a tracking system is also introduced in order to track the loaders and containers with a proper GPS system. Our main purpose is to provide customers the ease of work. We arrange all the possible requested delivery options of transportation and insurance. The transit time is fast while the transparency and control are at a modest price. Online booking for air and road transport vehicles can be done easily. The interface is easy and a map is associated with it which shows land and sea routes.

            We utilize our concepts which we gained throughout the degree we get these concepts from software Requirement Engineering, Introduction to software engineering in which we learned each diagram in detail we also utilize our knowledge we get from software project management in which we have learned about the WBS and Gantt chart of project. we have done our assignments using FYP ideas like PERT and COCOMO etc.

Furthermore, we expect that by using the knowledge we gained from web technology in which we have learned different languages of web development, Software quality engineering in which we have learned about software development life cycle, data structure, database, and related courses we will satisfy our target customer.
