School Management System is a web-based system that will serve as a platform for student, teacher, and parent interaction. While the primary goal of this project is to computerize and automate the paperwork in the system and data of student from entry test to leaving the school. The computerization is done so that all of the information about students and teachers is stored in the system, making it centralized and reducing the possibility of data duplication. While automating the system would lower the amount of time it takes to store any data in the system. Use of face recognition for the purpose of attendance

technique among other techniques and reduces chance of
proxy attendance.
Project Objectives
Our main objective is to minimize the paper work, so we are thinking about minimizing attendance time also, thats why we are making an smart attendance module in school management system. This module will work on face recognition where each student in the class will be photographed in a single picture and their details will be stored in a server after recognition of multiple faces. The teacher can then record the attendance by validating the detected faces of class students. The system will recognize the faces and verify the presence/absence of the student.
Project Implementation Method
We will use waterfall model for this project because, Waterfall is one of the simpler strategies to implement and is ideal for short, uncomplicated projects. This strategy is linear and sequential—simply list tasks sequentially and check them off as you go.
Benefits of the Project
A school management system is an online or offline system used to manage all the affairs of a school efficiently. It helps you run your school at a lower cost. The significantly low amount of time is used to achieve tasks, enables multiple management of activities, and it is available anywhere with automatic synchronization. Biggest benefit of this project is Smart Attendance Module.Because it minimize the time for taking attendance.
