- Control Industrial Processes locally or at remote locations.
- Monitor, gather and process real-time data.
- Directly interact with devices such as sensors, valves, motors.
We are Building a SCADA System to monitor multiple systems ( such as Bottle Filling, Boiler and Home Automation ) connected to different PLCs on Labview.
Project Objectives- The aim is to get familiar with PLC & SCADA and its implementation in industry.
- To design appropriate model for better monitoring and control of the plant.
- To monitor and visualize each parameter of the systems connected to different PLCs on LabView at the same time by designing appropriate model VI (Virtual Instrument).
- To Visualize and Monitor Plant/Industry in anywhere in the world over Internet.
The Basic SCADA Architecture begins with PLCs that communicate with sensors and end devices and transmit that information to Computers with SCADA software (such as LabView).Any SCADA system can be designed in LabView.
PLC communicates with the computer or TIA Portal via Ethernet TCP/IP Protocol.LabView supports a communication protocol known as OPC (OLE for process Communication) that can communicate with the TCP/IP Protocol of PLC.
Tags defined in PLC can be used as Shared Variables in LabView VI Environment after defining these tags in OPC.These shared variables are used to create valid logic in LabView Block Diagram Environment.Visual Interface (VI) is linked with the Block Diagram, that represents the whole SCADA system.
To Observe the data over internet, a website is properly programmed with HTML, CSS and PHP that communicates with the Labview and mySql Database. Shared Variables observed in Labview are then stored in database. Then these stored variables are accessed by the website and are displayed appropriately.

- Monitor each specific Parameter of the Industrail Unit, remotely from anywhere in the world.
