Robot are indispensable in many manufacturing industries.Robot are increasingly being integrated into working task to replace human especially to perform repetitive task.Because it possesses high precision, intelligence and endless energy levels in doing work compare to human beings .So, robot is useful device for many different application areas such as industry: some dangerous works including radioactive effects etc.
The mechanical design of the robot arm is based on robot manipulator with similar function to human arm. The configuration of robot arm is similar to articulated robot arm which has five revolute joints and irregular workspace.Robotic arm system consist of links, joints, actuators, sensor and controllers.
Designing of jointed robotic arm controlling system using kinematic modeling,to control end effector of robotic arm for desire position. MATLAB (GUI) is used for specific angle of the arm.
Micro-controller of any type is used for/to through PWM signals servo motor rotations by recieving analog signals.
Arduino is programmed to control servo-motors and also give analog signals to potentiometers.
Robotic arm design and control solution is also implemented by computer software named as SMART ARM, it allow CAD to model and design virtual robotic arm. It reduces building cost estimates the optimum size, provide simulation etc.
This model carry the forward kinematics of 6DOF robotic arm for pick and place application such as gripping, lifting, picking and releasing object on the working place.The robotic arm is controlled by a microcontroller based system which controls DC servo motors for movement.

The prime objective of our project is to design, fabricate and manufacture a robotic arm in accordance of international standards which is capable of operating in three modes of operations: dependent mode, semi-independent mode and independent mode.
