This application is a courier service providing system which will allow the cutomers to make orders for transporting their goods in a door to door service manner. We will be applying AI concepts and algorithms through Google Maps API and Directions API to achieve this. The algorithm will take into account the vehicle type of the rider and also real time traffic to choose the best route. Incremental project will include wallet option after the release of Beta version.

Project Objectives

A full fledge android application comprising of two interfaces

   1. Customer (sender, receiver)

   2. Transporter ( Bikes, Rickshaws) providing door to door delivery with minimizing the commute cost.

B. Tracking for package traceability

C. Route optimization for rider ensuring low commute cost and time efficiency

Project Implementation Method

We will be using Android Studio, Firebase and Google Map APIs to make two applications, one for the customer and one for the rider.

  1. This project will help to construct the ecommerce market in Pakistan favoring small business setups.
  2. Home-Based small businesses, invloving women in Pakistan, an easy service for them.
  3. Accessibility provider for the handi-capped people, or the people who cannot go out for sending couriers.
  4. Involvement of local transporters, an employment opportunity for them.
  5. Further the app can be fused with advertisements to add value. 
Technical Details of Final Deliverable
  1. User will be able to access his location and set pickup and drop off point.
  2. Once the user has selected pickup and drop off point, fair estimation will be shown.
  3. The user will be able to place his order, and he will be notified notified when a rider accepts the order.
  4. Our app will keep a record of previous bookings of each user.
  5. User will be able to edit his profile.
  6. Rider will be shown a map with his location and on confirming his location, he will be shown multiple pickup points nearby.
  7. Once the rider clicks on a pickup point, he is shown the information about package.
  8. Once the rider accepts an order it will not be shown to any other rider.
  9. A route will be made on the screen for the rider which will link all the pickup points and destination points in the most efficient and cost saving manner.
  10. User will be able to contact customer care helpline
  11. The user will be able to track shipments with QR Code
  12. Once the courier is delivered the customer will be able to give a rating about the service
