Early fault indication and report generation are the key challenges with most of the reverse osmosis plants in the Pakistan scenario. This project introduces a modern reverse osmosis (RO) plant status monitoring unit to monitor different plant parameters in real time and early prediction for faults via email. The system will be developing in a modular fashion so that it could be integrated with any capacity of RO plant units. System will monitors various parameters of the plant such as pressure, temperature, and conductivity. System also introduces a customize SCADA. Data logging and Report generation of Industrial Reverse Osmosis plant is done using PLC SCADA.
Project ObjectivesThe objectives of this project to develop a monitoring system in modular fashion that can be integrate with any capacity of RO plant units.
A modern reverse osmosis (RO) plant status monitoring
unit to monitor different plant parameters in real time and early prediction for faults and maintenance.
System also introduces a customize SCADA. Data logging and Report generation of Industrial Reverse Osmosis plant is done using PLC & SCADA.
System generates an excel file of this data automatically moreover early fault production is done through an email alert in case of any abnormality in parameters.
For the monitoring of RO plant the system uses the combination of sensors, Programmable logic controller (PLC), OPC server and customized SCADA .project is divided into two parts software and hardware. Firstly, the hardware portion consist of PLC, analog module, communication module and sensors of temperature, pressure and conductivity. Programmed PLC for collecting data from sensors. When the PLC interfaces the sensors then it makes the system able to pick up the parameters of plant. Through communication module PLC receive data from sensors. Software portion consist of customization of SCADA. For this customization OPC server connects the PLC with pc then plugin OPC server into Excel. Data logging and report generation task is performed in Excel. Real time data of RO plant and graphs show in Excel and this data will save and mail to any concerned person via Email. We will set the ranges of RO plant parameters and in case of any abnormality in parameters our system will send an Email to concerned person in form of Alarm alert.The Alarm alerts and PDF of data will be automatically generate.
Benefits of the ProjectThe system monitor the RO Plant ,the RO Plant is crucial for industry in many processes.Due to this the overall effeciency of plant will increas.Production will be increase.In results of Early fault prediction the life of membrane as well as plant increase. System is designed in that way it can be benificial for any Plant.More clean water will provide for food processing and other purpusses.
Hardware
Interfacing of sensors with PLC.Program PLC to Read data from analog module and transfer data to Communication Devices ,Configure Analog Module according input data and Configure OPC Setting to configure communication of devices.
Custmization of SCADA
Excel Plugin of OPC Server,Data Logging, Alarm Logging, Reporting Dashboard,PDF Report Generation,Print of Report Automatic and Alarm Alerts via Email.
