Real Time Environment Sensing and Monitoring System for Coal mining using RF module
In today’s world, the safety of the workers who work inside the coal mines is a very important challenge. As many people died in mine accidents while performing their work, so in mine produce process; the mine safety plays a significant role. So, to expanse the worth and decrease the expense of mining with the thinking of miner’s safety, a smart and unconventional mode is required. In effect of the latest progress in the IOT (Internet of Things), the proposed system consists of two sections as one of them is to measure the level of dangerous gases such as Carbon monoxide (CO), Methane (CH4), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) produced in the coal mine after blast and measuring temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure and send that data from inside the coal mine to the base station which is outside the mine by using RF Module. MQ series sensors are made up of electrodes as MQ -4 detects Methane Gas, MQ-7 detect Carbon monoxide gas, MQ-135, detect Carbon Dioxide gas MQ-2 for smoke sensor & for Temperature, it’s LM-35. In order to check out the concentration level of dangerous gases, these semiconductor gas sensors are used. Arduino Mega2560 is placed at the Transmitter part which has 54 Pins with 16MHz Crystal Oscillator. ATMega328p is used in the receiver side which has 28 pins. If any sensor senses a value which is beyond the fixed limit in the microcontroller, then there will be an alert by the buzzer. &With the help of RF Module Transmitter, the data will be sent to the base station and will be received by the Receiver part of RF Module. The RF Module has high energy transfer efficiency with short process time as it operates at Radio Frequency of 20KHz to 300GHz. In the second section, the data receiving at the base end will be uploaded in the App and also there is a system connected inside of the mine to control the gases produced. Hence, implementation of the proposed model can reduce the rate of accident to a greater extent in the mine.

Our project has a quality of monitoring and sensing of environment data of coal mine. First we design our project circuits. Then we apply on pcb design and make it in hard form. We purchase all compnents from market and test that's components either they are or not. After checking thier working we start to make our project. We place are components on Vero board and solder them. After completing our project soldering and compnents placement we run our project and test it. We use sensors in our project and they are working.
Our project benifits are that this project is used in coal mine environment to monitor and sense the dangerous gases and somke prsence. Our project has ability to alert us through buzzer if any gas value increase from a limit. Our project has ability to ecuate the environment of coal mine through exhaust fan if any gas and smoke oresence will be increase from a certain limit. Our project has ability a wireless communication between a base station of coal mine and area of coal mine through RF module. Our project has two parts, one part is Transmitter part and second part is Receiver part. We communicate between them through RF module sensor.
Our project technical part is that communication between RF modules. We use RF module for wireless communication between transmitter and receiver. To control the fan speed according to gases and smoke presence is technical part.
