Security is the main issue for everyone throughout the world. According to the statistics report of internet around 4000 burglary activities occurred in recent year. To tackle this problem common cctv cameras are used. The cctv cameras are useful to some extent but they do not completely remove the security threat that is common nowadays, as the cctv cameras do not make you aware of the theft at spot, to be aware of the intrusions 24/7 monitoring of the CCTV cameras is required which is not efficient and wastage of man power. Our security system is proactvie in approach. If someone breaches your security system you are made aware about it on the spot. Our project is designed in such a way that it detects intrusion using laser, differentiates between unauthorized and authorized person using finger print sensor and notifies the person using GSM,Mail and alarm. The concept of smart door is also used, i.e the doors will unlock only for the authorized person while the system will not detect any sort of interruption, disturbance when the authorized person enters the perimeter.
Objective 1: Design a laser fence around TL Department’s restricted areas.
Objective 2: Develop a security system to detect intrusion and to differentiate between authentic and unauthentic person.
Objective 3: Install a laser alarm system in Optical Communication Lab of TL Department.
Our project will mainly use Arduino and Raspberry pi to detect intrusion using lasers and fingerprint sensors and inform about the intrusion using GSM module and Alarm system.
There are two phases of implementation, the security system which will be implemented in the corridor and the system which will be implemented in the labs. Arduino will be used in the corridor for detection which will be connected to raspberry pi using transceiver antennas. The GSM module, Fingerprint sensor will be connected to pi.
The Arduino will use the laser to detect any kind of intrusion and send a command to the raspberry pi using transceiver, which will turn on the GSM, Mail and alarm notification for the authorized person. The authorized person will get the complete details of the intrusion using SMS, Mail and Alarm.
The other system which will be implemented in labs will consist of automatic door and fingerprint sensor security system which will mainly use raspberry pi. When the authorized person accesses the lab the laser detectors will turn off, but if there is any intrusion by any unauthorized person the laser will detect it and notify the authorized person using GSM, Mail and Alarm notification.

Scope:
Security crisis in Pakistan, this project has a great scope and will be able to reduce the burglary activities in our country
This project will increase the security of the department, after implementation we will get a more secured department.
Due to autonomous security, 24/7 monitoring of the system will not be needed, and less manpower will decrease.
Cost efficient security system will be provided to the department which decrease the overall expenses of the department.
