The Q-In app is part of our work to slow the spread of COVID-19. Q-In supports the current manual process of finding people who have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19. The Q-In app is completely voluntary. the app is something you can do to protect you, friends and save the lives of other University mates. The more people connect to the Q-In app, the quicker we can find the virus and prevent the spread.

Project Objectives

To overcome the problem of deaths due to Covid’19, we thought that a solution should be implemented primarily so that spreading of corona can be avoided spreading, but we cannot do this on a large scale, so we are implementing this idea on a small scale at the university. As the rate of death is increasing exponentially moreover new viruses coming too we all have to be safe and protected. Later on, after the success of this app we will try to implement on large scale through the help of sponsorship.

Project Implementation Method

QR-In Application 1.0 is a new system. The system will be operating within university environment. This environment has another system (web-based) that will interact with this system so we need interfaces between this system.

Benefits of the Project

The app is something you can do to protect you, friends and save the lives of other University mates. The more people connect to the Q-In app, the quicker we can find the virus and prevent the spread.

 By notifying users we are preventing the spread of Covid in indoor venues. The App also helps to mark attendance automatically as the student check in and check out, that will be recorded as their attendance too in University.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Developing android application for Covid Safe environment. Feature includes; registration and student check-in using QR code. User location tracking, notification service, attendance management using API integration of external and internal databases.
