To give job seekers a platform where they can apply for jobs posted by other companies. The job seekers would have a profile where they would enter their data, which includes their work experience, education history, skills, languages they speak and the references they have. CVs would be generated on the web application and the job seeker would have the option to download them. Furthermore, the employers or companies on the platform would be able to conduct interviews on the web application as well, send messages between the users, start discussions on the forums. Employers would be able to conduct a small test before the applicant is able to apply for a job posted by them.

Project Objectives

To research other applications in this domain and find out what they lack. To tackle those deficiencies by designing a web application to help Job Seekers to find work and employers to find talented individuals.

Project Implementation Method

Employers would be able to post Jobs online and seekers would be able to apply to those jobs after taking a small test. Employers would also be able to conduct interviews on the web application. Seekers would also be able to create and print out their CVs from the web application itself. We aim to achieves this by using the following tools, technologies and software:

• Develop a back-end frame work using nodeJS.
• Develop a front-end framework using reactJS.
• Design a database and implement it using mongoDB.
• Use api’s such as webRTC to achieve video communication for interviews.
• Software used for this development: Microsoft Visual Studio Code.

Benefits of the Project

This project will benefit all those individuals who are unemployed and are looking for jobs. Employers as well would be able to fill their vacant positions with skilled individuals.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

In PHASE 1 we aim to achieve the following:

1. An interface to allow users to Login/Signup
   New User and Profile Creation.
   Data Entry for Profile.
   User roles include Job Seekers and Employers
   Forgot Password functionality.
2. An interface forum for users to discuss their issues.
   Job Seekers would be able to post their problems regarding their professional careers, which other seekers would be able to reply to.
3. Dedicated section for seekers to find jobs based on category.
   Ability to search jobs based on desired category.
   Ability to search jobs based on country and city.
4. CV Maker for Job Seekers to compile their data.
   Profile Data would be taken and compiled into CV.
   Seekers would be able to download their CVs at will for use elsewhere.
5. Job Portal for employers to post jobs and Jobs Seekers to apply to them.
   Job Post Creation.
   Job Post Management.
   Seeker would be able to view Jobs created by Employers.
6. Profile Management for users.
   Update and or remove information on user profiles.
7. Links / Connection with other users.
   Make connections with other Job Seekers and Employers.

In PHASE 2 we aim to achieve the following:

1. Online Interviews functionality.
   Video Call Portal with separate rooms for each interview.
   Users would be able to join through a session id.
2. Chats with other users.
   The ability to send messages between Job Seekers and Employers.
3. Online aptitude test created by Employers.
   On clicking apply, Seekers would be required to answer a few short MCQ based questions.
   Based on the results of the test, the Seekers application would be added to the list of applicants for that specific job post.
4. Chat bot for FAQ
   Separate Page where queries related to the website would be answered by a bot.
