Energy is the basic necessity for the economic development of nation, they are deferent types of the energy but the most important type is electrical energy . Acontemporary and educated society is so much dependent on the use of electricity. Tasks which are related to the generation of electricity , transmition, and distribution of electricity have to be assign the highest importance in the he national planning producer of any nation because the importance of electrical energy to economic and social development of society.pakistan' s energy shortage has become the pressing economic challenge.these serious challenges occures due to the severe losses . Pakistan has extra ordinary rate of electric transmission and distribution losses and is ranked the top 14th among 131 countries.when electrical energy is transferred by transmission lines then there occures losses. Losses are catogries into two types one is technicall and other are non technical losses . On technical losses includes corona losses , Joule effect , magnetic losses and skin effect while non technical losses are theft of electricity, vandalism of electrical stations poor meter reading ,poor counting and recording system . 

For all these losses there are many responsible factors, which need to be eliminated . These losses can be eliminated by implementation of new technologies such as advance metering , HVDC , gas- insulated substations . ultimately these technologies may inhance the economy of the country. 

Project Objectives

1: addition of the shunt capacitors banks, fixed and switched at the points on the system closest to reactive load source reduces current flow and minimizs load.

2: implementation of new technologies can help to minimize the losses such as by implementation of advanced metering , HVDC system and gas- insulated substations.

3: to achieve the actual power which is transferred from generation station without any power loss. 

Project Implementation Method

This project is hardware and software based, it is samulated on Matlab and other softwares.

Benefits of the Project

By implementation of this project we can achieve actuall power which has been transferred from generation station without any power losses.
