Project Summary
Scarceness for water exists in many countries even though three fourth of the earth is covered by water. The reason behind this is the rapid enlargement of industry and populace worldwide. There are many rural areas in Punjab and all over Pakistan where pure water is not available for drinking. The presence of contaminants in water can lead adverse effects on the health of the inhabitants of the rural areas and cause many diseases, including gastrointestinal illness, reproductive effects etc. Solar still is the only efficient solution for water trouble in hot climatic conditional areas where there is scarcity of water and electricity.
Therefore we are going to design and fabricate the portable hybrid single slope solar still which is more efficient than other conventional water purification systems.
