Project Summary
Animals are most important part of our ecosystem. Pet is a domestic animal. There seems to be an ecological balance between all animals in nature. Pets, especially dogs and cats, can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, ease loneliness, and encourage exercise and playfulness. Caring for an animal can help children grow up more secure and active. Pets also provide valuable companionship for older adults. Most of the people having pets don’t have any information about their vaccination, food, pet clinics etc.
Being the most important part of our environment animals still don’t get proper care and attention. In our final year project, we are working on an idea that will help people who keep pets. We are going to design an application in our final year project that will help people who keep pets in several ways like vaccination schedule of their pets, tracking their pets if lost, clinics for pets, food for pets and pet shelters etc.
We will also design a Neckband Device consisting of GPS chip connected with our application to track pet’s location and to monitor them. Pet Shelters module will provide a feature of notifying users about pet’s shelters in their locality so incase if pet owners are travelling somewhere out of town and they are worried about their pets like they can’t take them so they can search nearby shelters or pet parents who are willing to keep their pets with them for time being.
Pet Marts will notify users about the nearby shops available that provide pet foods and accessories and the online shops available for online delivery. A module named “Pet Shops” will provide user the facility to buy and sell pets online and contact with the people who are willing to give away their pets etc. and will notify them about nearby pet shops in user’s locality.
Our Pet Journal feature will provide all the knowledge required before parenting a pet and what will be the effects of parenting a pet on people affected with some sort of allergies like asthma pollen allergy etc. Also, a website will be designed that will help user to register themselves to it and even then, if they are comfortable with mobile application, they can use it in place of website. In short, it’s completely a choice of user whether he wants to use mobile application or a website for all the purposes.
Vets can also register their clinics with our application. Their information will then be added in our vets list and in case of user requirement, user can visit them or can contact them online. Using machine learning, a prediction technique is implemented to evaluate upcoming disease outbreak in pets using data of seasonal outbreaks in pets like which diseases are common in pets in which seasons and application will notify the users about disease outbreak and preventive measures.
Project Objectives
Our main objective is to help people who work for animals and to facilitate those who own pets so they can get proper information about their pets from our application that will for sure help them to keep their pets safe. Our main aim is to design a user friendly application that will contain all sort of information about the pets and also a website for veterinarian or even all users to register themselves this help them surely so that people who aren’t comfortable with app can use website only.
Project Implementation Method
For research purpose we all willing to make some secondary research first of all in order to aware of our data and all the facts. If necessary, we are also willing to make some primary research like surveys and personal interviews and visiting different pet clinics or contacting them in personal to get the information required. We will also consult some online generals and books regarding pets. After we are done with collecting facts and information, we will try our level best to design an application that will surely help society. While designing this application we will be using different platforms that will meet our needs best.
