In the past, when we go to malls and airports we face so many difficulties in finding parking slots, but now we have thought something bigger for this. We are going to develop an application where you just need to scan a machine generated QR code and you’ll be navigated to nearest available parking slots and whenever that slot will be used the light will turn green from red as nowadays happen.

Project Objectives

Our project will mainly focus on the following objectives:

  1. To check the availability of the parking

  2. Select the nearest parking spot available

  3. Route and guide up to the spot

  4. No human required an interface that will input parking fee and it will generate a slip with QR code

  5. Through bar code, one can scan the whole route to the spot

To achieve the first goal, we will use the data from the lights of the parking 0 is red and 1 is green

To achieve the second goal, we will search with min distance

To achieve our third goal, Google APIs will be used to make a route

To achieve our fourth goal, a machine that embeds data on the barcode (data as in starting and ending position)


The biggest challenge we expect to gather parking slots arrangement in malls and the part in which QR code
will be generated 

Project Implementation Method

The Implementation Phase will include the following aspects:

  1. Build the database

Based on our ER diagram, we will use My SQL to build our profile database.

      2. Integrate the APIS and Maps

Based on our design, we will use JAVA to integrate the APIS to find a proper route… 

       3. Build the user interface

Based on our design, we use Android Studio to develop the user interface.

      4. Make 3D parking model

we use Unity 3d to make our parking 3d model.

Benefits of the Project

A mobile application through which we can find out about the parking slots availability and the route towards the parking

As many malls have different parking floors and one has to search for the parking and go and check the lights this would save time for a number of people and it will guide whether there is parking or not so that you may not end up wasting time and then finding out that its full.

Whole parking system automated. There is no need for any person to check parking slot availability.

The application tells us that where is parking slot available.

After parking, Application tells us that where is our car is park.

Through bar code, one can scan the whole route to the spot
