Project Objectives

The aim of this project is to develop a network device using Raspberry pi with Pi-Hole installed on it that is capable of blocking all the ads that are published on the webpages and blocking all the inappropriate websites, which will be helpful for the parents to block all the websites or ads they do not want their children’s can access and provide a safer Internet

Project Implementation Method

To make a Network device Known as Parental Control Network Device PCND. Which can be configured by Parents to block websites and ads. PCND consists of Raspberry Pi with the Pi-Hole Installed in it and it will be placed with an ISP router which will block the contents of the devices (mobile, computer, tablets, laptops, etc.) connected with it. This specific device can be controlled by Parents through a smartphone application. Which helps them to modify and block any kind of unsuitable website for their kids. Any ads which come through the internet can be filtered out in the device. It will use the specific static IP address to ensure that no VPN can perform authorized access on the internet.

Benefits of the Project

Nowadays we all are surrounded by technology. Even we have a Computer in our pocket that can connect us to the whole world. Kids are also being connected to these technologies in a way to watch cartoons, Play games, or any other way. These Technologies have drawbacks such as Advertisements that might pop up while watching videos or playing games. These Ads can affect the kids w. To keep these children safe we are creating this device. which will not only make the internet safer for children. it will also be peaceful for parents.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

The final deliverable of this will be a proper physical device that will be based on Raspberry pi. This device will be connected to the Internet Service Provider Router. This device will be configured in a way that it will block all the ads for the Device connected to the ISP Router.
