The main purpose of our project is to transform the manual process  of job placements and internship placements that the DIL uses into an automated one, where the graduates and students of NED university will be linked to the job industry through linkedin. Authorized companies will be able to post job openings on department groups and the students and graduates of that department will get an instant notification regarding that job offer where they will be able to apply online. Additionally, achievements of NED alumni can be tracked.

Project Objectives

The graduates and students of NED will be able to sign up on the job association platform using their enrollment no. Once authenticated they will be able to maintain a profile which will exhibit their skills and achievements and be able to come in direct contact with registered companies on the platform

Project Implementation Method

It is a web based application that uses the MERN stack. It has used passport js for authencation and stores hashed password in database. It will also be using Linkedin API's for keeping the skills and education of students and graduates up to date

NED University

The students of Ned university would be the main and primary audience of this portal system. They will get multiple careers related opportunities from different  renowned companies

The Faculty of Ned University will also be the key audience. They will bring employment and research occasion for students and professional 

Directorate of Industrial Liaison

DIL who is at the moment  manually maintaining the hiring process of nedians will get a automated and visually appealing system for their business use 

Companies 

Industry companies which are appointing freshers and looking for talented individuals will be able connect with talented people 

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

NED Graduates Job association platform is a web based application which will allow NED students and graduates to register themselves on their respective department groups using their credentials including enrollment number. Once authenticated they will be able to update their own profiles, create posts, view their peer’s profiles and follow them. They will also be able to view company profiles and the jobs they post and apply for those jobs. Additionally, students and graduates will be notified of any departmental events that may benefit them.

This platform will allow companies to register themselves on our platform to have exclusive access to NED alumni, once approved by the admin, these companies will be able to post jobs, review applied applicants and close job offers. Registered companies will be able to view all alumni profiles.

 Any event details and notifications will be updated and sent by the department chairman. However, admin will retain the right to review and restrict any and all content on the website and admin approval and disapproval of users that may be a student, graduate or company will be final.
