Project Area of Specialization 3D/4D PrintingProject Summary3D Construction Printer is new technlogy in Pakistan and this Technology will help in construction industry. Construction is aprocess which takes alot of time to build a house or a building but using this technology time saving is possible using this technology. We are constructin 3D Printer using Gantry system it is cartesian based system this is a 3 axis system. This 3D concrete printer will be designed that uses a computer-controlled motion system to deposit a prepared mixture of concrete along a planned path in a uniform and controlled flow. The Extrusion in 3D printer is polymer like it extrude filament for plastic designs but this extrudes concrete.
Project ObjectivesObjective of this project is to get what u want exactly in less time. Printing of the similar pattern we want to print is the objective of the 3D construction printer.
3D construction Printer prints using concrete and it can be palced we want to place it.
Project Implementation MethodIt is implemented using Gantry system. Linear Rails are used to construct the structure. To provide the movement in Linear Rails three stepper motors are attached for the movement of three axis x,y,z and then one more motor is used to provide extrusion.
All of these motors are controlled using DUET 2 WIFI controller board. This board is progeammed using RepRap FirmWare Software.
Desgning is done on any CAD software then STL file is produced of that particular 3D model and a G-Code file is generated and then it will be uploaded to Rep Rap FirmWare which will be uploaded to the board and then the specific design is extruded.
Benefits of the ProjectIn a normal construction process labor is required cost is required then material that is needed is alot. Time required for a complete product is alot. Pollution is also caused in normal construction process.
Using 3D Construction Printer cost used is less, material that is needed is less, Time is also saved, and Pollution problem is also saved. Money is also saved.
