Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryMy research is on “Mental Health in Machine Learning, Predictions and Cure”, Major focus category is "Depression and Anxiety Disorder. It focuses on the area that by use of Machine learning algorithms how we can take care of our mental health. Not mental health doctors only but also every individual can test his or her basic mental health fitness with the help of this research-based mini project. In the future, on the basis of this research, robotic assistance and mobile software related to mental health care can be developed.
Project ObjectivesMental health is the most essential factor in everyone’s life. A human with a healthy mind can develop his or her self and can contribute to the essential development of his or her society. But these days due to development overload exerted by a rapidly developing society affects the mental health of humans with less staminal minds. Which results in weakness of minds and leads to take brutal actions by that person like harm others or commit suicide.
The main objective of this research is to treat people who are mentally ill in a more efficient and accurate way i.e. is by use of Artificial Intelligence. In this research which is along with the mini project also, we will focus on that how can medical staff related to the field of mental treatment use the facility of Computers especially the field of AI to treat their patients with all levels of mental illness.
Above titled research and researched based mini-project will ease to predict problems related to mental health illness, give basic precautions, and suggest cure suites with the illness.
Project Implementation MethodThis research (Mental Health Care, Prediction and Cure) is based on Quantitative Research Methodology and includes the following steps and stages.
- Consult with Mental Health Care Specialists to learn about the different categories and symptoms of mental illness.
- Data Collection (Via Google Forms).
- Understanding of data.
- Determined the tool which suits well to meet the requirement of working i.e. IDE with strong database management.
- Visualize data.
- Analyze data.
- Applying Machine Learning Algorithms.
- Decision tree
- Vector machine
- K-nearest neighbor classifier
With the help of this research which focuses on one specific mental disorder which is "Anxiety and Depression", more disorders like mood disorder, personality disorder, and long term and short term memory disorder, etc can be predicted and cure accurately and efficiently.
the next benefit is that based on this research and mini-project we can develop software systems for ios, Android, Windows, and Linux-based systems to predict the mental illness level of an individual by his/her own i.e. "Mental health Predictor".
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe results of this system will be the predictions made on the basis of symptoms chart in which every symptom has a scale of numbering which is assigned by the Medical specialist after interviewing the patient and in case of individual wants to predict on their on the values are assigned by the person him self. The system will calculate the mental illness level on the basis of this scale which is consists of numbers from 1-10 and in this scale, the numbers near to 10 are those numbers that show the critically ill condition of the person.
