Today in this bustling life, finding a nearby specialized doctor or medical laboratories is strenuous. To get an outpatient appointment, one has to adopt the conventional way of making calls or paying a visit to the hospital which is laborious.For medical tests, people are unaware of the quality of tests as well as their cost or sometimes they have to face the issue of price variability at different laboratories as a trade-off for the quality of the test. In addition to that, in case of emergency, searching for an available nearby ambulance is one the hustling factor that is faced by current fast pace community, casualties are caused due to the late arrival of the ambulance and with more congested roads and insufficient information, the search and rescue operation becomes difficult.

Therefore, to ease the communication between healthcare service providers and the general community, we have proposed a resource pooling mobile application that will enable people to locate nearby medical and health resources, schedule appointments and hail ambulance in the hour of need.

Project Objectives

Following are the objectives we aim to achieve through this project:

Project Implementation Method

To implement our project the hardware and the software we are using are:

Hardware:

  1. Raspberry Pi:We are using raspberry pi which will control the functionalities of panel installed in ambulance. Ambulance service provider will be able monitor ambulance utilization.
  2. LCD Panel :We are using a 5” LCD panel which will be placed inside the ambulance. It will make it easier for the driver to accept the request of the patient as well as it will also display patients location via map.
  3. Gprs Module:We are using Gprs module for tracking the ambulance.

Software

  1. Android Studio:For the development of our application.
  2. Protoio: To design the prototype for the web interface of ambulance and user interface of the mobile application.
  3. FluidUI: To design the prototype for the web interface for the hospital’s and laboratory’s administration.
  4. Firebase: For the database. 
  5. Visual Studio Code: We have used Visual studio code for the coding of our project.
