Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryThe project aims to solve the main problem of death of females and/or the child during the pregnancy period. Most of women do not take care of health well or are no aware of the harms of the disease. Moreover, some patients find difficulty in multiple visits to the physician and so on. This project will be a starting idea to implement a system that will check the blodd pressure of patient regularly and like a "smart mini doctor" , which will be achieved by artificial intellegence, it will generate reports about the health of patient. Through IOT this device will save the information or data on cloud and after some regular period of time, it will update the Doctor and some other contacts as well. There will also be an app available through which patient can see data as well as report about blood pressure. Hence, this device will be simply solving the problem of multiple visits as well as fee expenditures of Doctors.
Project ObjectivesThe project aims to:
- Solve the problem of Maternal death because of the main issue i.e. Blood Pressue.
- Create a device with intellegence to deal with patient's health.
- Update the methods of routine checkups by making them online.
- Create a GUI interface through mobile Application to ease the user to use the device.
The implementation of the project will be dependent on three to four major parts which are as follow.
- Finding a Micro-controller: First of all we are required tofind a micro-controller that can do the specific task write now we are concerned withSTM32f407 or Raspberrypi because one can perform ADC in it's and other helps in good machine learning techniques. Anyhow we will come up with the final name upon the selection of Sensor.
- Selecting a Sensor: The second problem is to select a good sensor which can send us continuos data of blood pressure with accuracy and ease of user. write now we have mind on SUNROM's blood pressure sensor but we have to do more search on this part.
- Construction of ML algorith: After getting the data we have to make some ML algorithm to correctly use the Data to generate the reports of the patients. This will be done through the data of patients checked by doctors as well as by applying on as a many patients as possible.
- Contruction of APP and Cloud: the last part is relatively easier in which we will just use the data and reports to be set on cloud, sending to doctor after some specific time interval and controll through a mobile application.
The main benifit of the project that it will make sure that patient has to least worry about moving to the doctor and most of the work is done on machine side to take care of checks and balnace on Health.
Another benefit will be cost effectiveness that instead of wasting money and time on going to doctor and paying fee ,the patients can save their time and money by having a check at home and data will be sent to doctor autometically.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final deliverables of the project will be :
- A hardware based device that will contain a blood pressure sensor and a screen to show the blood pressure continuously with an artifically intelllegent system of generating the report of patient.
- IOT device integrated with the Hardware to set the data and reportĀ onto the cloud.
- A mobile application to provide a GUI to user and help the user access data from cloud as well. This application will also allow the user to send the data and report to doctor's email after some time interval and will generate allerts in case of emergency
The final product will be an integrated systm of hardware and the software that can work together to solve the above probles efficiently.
