Various Automated coil winding machines are available in the market to overcome the drawbacks present in manual winding machine.

The machines present in the market are

  • complicated
  • costly

This machine is

  • Inexpensive
  • easy to operate
  • build in a small scale size.

Project Objectives

Effort To build up a low cost winding machine to acquire the best  automated machine in order to .

  •  maintain accuracy
  •  precision.
  • Simplest data entry
  • Optimum user interface

In this machine, we have tried to remove the drawbacks of a manual winding machine.

  • Advanced touch screen man-machine interface.

This machine will be

  • inexpensive
  • easy to operate
  • helpful for the training of students
  • Significantly increased productivity
  • Reduced waste of time

Project Implementation Method

The methodology is divided into three parts:

Electrical Components

  • Motor ( Single phase Induction motor ΒΌ HP)  
  • Relay ( 5V ,10A and 5 terminals)
  • Sensor ( IR proximity sensor)    

Mechanical

  • Frame of the machine
  • Bearings
  • Diffierent types of Die

programming. (Arduino UNO)

  • Touch LCD program
  • IR sensor program for counting the number of turns

Benefits of the Project

This machine is

  • Inexpensive
  • easy to operate
  • build in a small scale size
  • Low labour cost
  • Exact counting system.
  • will be automatic machine
  • can be used at a time for the transformer and stator winding

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Ardiuno programming for automation purpose and Ardiuno board controls the feed of coil .

Different motors are used for the rotation of wires for winding purpoe
