“Makyaj Fusion” is an ‘entrepreneur based mobile application’. “Makyaj Fusion” application is developed to automate all the salon activities. In this application service providers can register themselves and give details of the services they offer and also describe the stylist information; whereas customers will make account to avail those services. This system keeps track of customer data along with billing. This is a fully equipped application that alone manages the entire functioning of the beauty salons. The system is even equipped to manage customer billing and data storage. This application helps the service providers to manage their services easily. Through this application customer can book appointment to avail different services at home or salon. Sometimes customers cannot make to go to salons or in some under developed areas girls are not allowed to go to salons and avail services, so they will book usual services with the tap on their phones. After availing the services costumer can give feedback through “Makyaj Fusion” application. Plus there are many people who have different talents but did not get chance or permission to use them and get advantage, so “Makyaj Fusion” application will be a great opportunity for them as well.

Project Objectives

• The aim of this project is to encourage new small businesses to rely mainly on technology rather than word of mouth to market their business and communicate with customers.
• Objective is to overcome the major limitation of the existing enabling effective management of the customer details thereby improving the performance.
• To create a services based salon, whose goal is to exceed customer’s expectations.
• With improved computerization being involved in the maintenance of customer details, error and inconsistencies can be kept at par.
• Easy retrieval of data will be made possible by finding techniques.

• Validation of data will ensure only accurate, valid and complete data is stored in the database.
• This will be much less time consuming comparing to existing system.
• It will be easy to add or update records.
• It will provide management accurate information in order to help decision making process.
• It provides information regarding the beauty parlor number of services running on the beauty center system.
• To provide an upgrade support for the beauty shop system resources.
• To increase the number of clients served by at least 24% per year through superior performance & words of mouth referrals.
• To develop a sustainable start-up business, contributing to increased employment of community residents.

Project Implementation Method

In my project, requirements will be updated with the passage of time so, the basic idea in Prototype model is that instead of freezing the requirements before a design or coding can proceed, a throwaway prototype is built to understand the requirements. This prototype is developed based on the currently known requirements. Prototype model is a software development model. By using this prototype, the client will get an “actual feel” of the system, since the interactions with prototype can enable the client to better understand the requirements of the desired system. This model works best in scenarios where not all of the project requirements are known in detail ahead of time. It is an iterative, trial-and-error process that takes place between the developers and the users. Prototyping is an attractive idea for complicated and large systems for which there is no manual process or existing system to help determining the requirements.

A project is considered to be successful if it fulfills the user requirements. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify the user requirements by properly identifying it. For that purpose objectives are defined according to the user’s requirements. Automating service provider’s appointment book will help them to organize their employee schedules, expedite client check in and check out. Client messages automatically pop up when the client checks in or out. Save time and money. Commission calculations, client messages and financial statements are easy and fast with “Makyaj Fusion” application.

With this you can breathe easy knowing that everyday scheduling errors are eliminated. To insure that a service provider doesn't get scheduled for a service that they don't provide, “Makyaj Fusion” will only allow you to schedule the services that you have selected for that particular service provider. This application allows user to book appointments and book resources simultaneously. When scheduling an appointment you may edit the total length of time necessary to perform the service, this is beneficial for clients with very short or very long hair for example. Our system also allows user to note the interval time for additional booking availability, which means that while your clients perm or color is processing it designates that time as open in the appointment book. Confirming appointments is easy. The appointment gives you the client’s phone number at a glance and an area to note that it was confirmed. Copying or moving an appointment is just a click away. Innovative and easy to use appointment book software features surpass the old paper and pencil appointment book. “Makyaj Fusion” allow you to keep an extensive record of client’s information. You can store their address, the particular stylist they continually receive service from. We have also included optional fields that user can set up for keeping more information.

Services can also be setup using different time of length, processing time and setup time for the appointment book making it easier to make appointment gaps for other appointments. These services can also be customized per each service provider. Many times service provider will have different scheduling and pricing needs. “Makyaj Fusion” application gives you that much needed flexibility without making the program difficult to learn or use. In “Makyaj Fusion” you have equal flexibility in setting up services that your service providers perform. Each service provider can have different pricing and commission on services. You can indicate what services a service provider can perform and have variable time lengths for scheduling purposes.
