The statistically accident data from university shows that almost accidents are caused by overspeed but drivers always blame equipment failure or other condition for the cause of road accidents they never blame over speeding as their mistake. In universities over speeding vehicles is a factor causes dangerous for driver life’s and others. The data taken from university is not good that is why we will develop a low-cost speed monitoring and recognition system in university that will overcome the problem of road accidents. As we know that technology is growing day by day why not we used it for security purpose. We will develop a system with the help of Doppler Radar using microwave frequency that can detect the speed of the vehicle by doppler shift and if the speed of vehicle exceeds above the maximum speed limit a HD camera system mounted will be triggered which capture the image of over speeding vehicle and send through server for extraction of its number plate using image processing techniques the number plate letter will extract and sent to the concern authority and we can further send the message next far concern authority to take certain rules against that over speeding vehicle.

We will develop a doppler RADAR that will work on RADAR principle that will measure the speed of the vehicle and if the speed of the vehicle found above threshold HD camera mounted will capture the image after extracts its number plate and informs to concern authorities.
The key project objectives are stated here:
- Design and integrate the RADAR through which we will measure the speed of vehicle.
- Integrating of Arduino and Raspberry Pi with RADAR and Camera connect through the server.
- We will developed vehicle number plate recognition software using MATLAB that will sent to server and inform concern authority.
Basically, our project is based on traffic security or vehicle speed to apply the law enforcement. We will develop a system in university in which we will measure speed of the vehicle using the principle of Doppler Effect. A very good skill on microwave and antenna side to build an accurate and low-cost RADAR. In doppler RADAR there are two antennas are used one is for transmit the signal and rest one is for receiving the signal that is reflected back from the object and the difference between them is doppler shift after that understand the Arduino and make the library for speed measurement using RADAR interfaced with Arduino by using some accurate numerical math’s formulas to calculate the speed of that vehicle and need proper to display on LCD. After calculate the speed we will set threshold condition using if statement condition for over speeding vehicles and for above threshold we will mounted a HD camera with Raspberry Pi for that we need a proper tutorial guide of Raspberry Pi including their OS installation in which enable the SSH session and enable the camera which will capture the image and connect through VNC send it through server for further image processing using MATLAB software for extraction of number plate.
A flow chart is shown in below figure 02 which will give the implementation idea of this project.

Security purpose:
1.Enable the students to developed their own engineering products for their own problems instead of importing.
2.Successfull demonstration of this project will have the impact on economical as it will reduce import and increased export.
3.Minimize accidents: One of the major benefits of this system is to minimize the road accident due to overspeed.
4.Road safety purpose: Over speed is one of the big problems for road safety they never care about himself as well as others this system will be used for road safety.
5.Reduce effort of security officers: This system will be automatic can reduce the security officers for law enforcement.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableThe final deliverables will be use in this system are,
1.Prototype
- RADAR working this deliverable we design for speed detection which will work on the basis of doppler principle this will operate at +5V and above and transmit the frequency in the range of giga hertz.
- Arduino UNO which will operate on +5V power that will show the speed of vehicle by the shifted frequency by numerical method and formulas.
- Raspberry Pi (kit+WIFI supported) we can say mini CPU will operate +5V will help out in interfacing the camera and sending the images to concerned authorities.
- High Definition Camera this will interfaced with Pi and triggered when the vehicle crosses the threshold and capture the high-resolution image for recognition.
2.Successfull demonstration of prepared prototype in the university perveances.
3.In detail technical report describes the working of prototype operating and the device limitations.
