Project Area of Specialization Electrical/Electronic EngineeringProject SummaryBasically we are implementing light fidelity (lifi) system. In which we use lifi as a application in shopping malls, we are going to made a smart trolly in which for the user there is a system installed on the trolly. This system is attached to the radio frequency identification detection (RFID) reader which basically read the rfid tags that we applied on the products of the shopping store. After scanning the product rfid read the information of the tag and show to the customer on the lcd display. Then at the end when customer is done with the shopping the details of product is transferred to the main counter for total bill using the lifi transmitter implemented on the trolly. Receiver of the trolly received the data finalized the bill, then customer has just to pay the total bill at the counter and leave. From this customer do not have to wait for its turn to pay the bill in queues.
Project ObjectivesOur objective is to make a application using the lifi. We have to transmit the data between transmitter and receiver in the range of 1 meter. Also using this application we are going to save the people precious time in shopping malls.
Project Implementation MethodFirst we implemented the LIFI module then transmit the data using 4x4 keypad. Then we interface the Rfid tags and reader with the lifi transceiver and transmit the data of products. We use led driver for generating bits stream and also at the receiver end we use the photo transistor for the reception of the bits stream. We use controllers for streaming data and also for the saving the data in memory.
Benefits of the ProjectIn the benefits of this project we are going to innovate the shopping processes. This project going to save the time of people. Awareness of the new technology Lifi and its future scope among the people.
Technical Details of Final DeliverableIn the final deliverable we have a smart shopping trolly from which we calculate the total bill of products and also displayed on the trolly lcd from which people can shop according to their budget. Rfid reader and lifi transceiver are connected with each other for the processing and calculations of the data.
