In this project, a landslide forewarning system is designed in order to generate alert before landslide occurs. These sensors are connected to wireless It is important to study the landslide induced vibrations that occur inside the earth surf. ace, to analyze those vibrations and to connected to micro controller through wireless sensor nodes. Arduino mega is used as micro controller which is responsible for generating alert and warning based on the readings obtained from sensors.
Project Objectives- To monitor the temperature of Environment
- To monitor the humidity of Environment
- To monitor the moisture in soil
- To detect initial motion/vibration which may initiate landslide
- To generate alarms in any emergence situations.
- To provide proficient power to the system installed in remote areas
Our project will comprise of an Arduino Mega micro-controller which will be connected to the various nodes of sensors using a Zigbee module. Different sensors are placed at various locations which are connected to wireless sensor network using ZigBee protocol. These sensors will include Soil moisture sensor, humidity sensor, weather temperature sensor, vibration sensor and rain gauge system.
The nodes of Sensors will be responsible for communicating relevant values to the micro-controller. The micro - controller will be programmed to analyze the values received from sensing nodes and generate alerts in case of emergency.
An efficient renewable energy source will be installed to meet up with the power requirement of our project.

Technical Details of Final DeliverableA prototype will be designed which will comprise of a replica of hilly areas. Sensors would be placed in the prototype at appropriate places. We will use various techniques to replicate the weather conditions and vibrations in the soil to get the values from the sensors. These values will be transferred to the sensing nodes of Wireless Sensor Network. The sensing nodes will be responsible to transmit the data received from sensors to the micro-controller. The micro-controller will be programmed to analyze the values and generate an alert / warning for a landslide. Each element of our system will be connected to a renewable energy source to meet with the power requirement.
