There are more than 5000 garment and knitwear industries out of which 500 are only in Faisalabad of middle and small level who don't have any kind of software solution available for complex garment and knitwear calculations for example SAM (Standard allowed minutes) calculation, capacity holding checking, Bill of Material (BOM) making, the monitoring of activities (yarn buying, cutting, stitching, printing, and finishing, etc.) in the different departments involved in making a garment. Many industries are using Excel and paperwork for managing these operations, calculations, and information flow. If any formula goes wrong in Excel, it may cost the industry a heavy loss. Like error in cutting.

Also When a new customer comes to the garment industry he does not know which type of specific feature he may want to the model garment, for example, does he wants to add a front pocket or not.

To increase customer satisfaction companies want to show their model sample garment before the start of the actual production of the order to clients in 3D and 4D planes but not any software is available to tackle this.

The industry has to hire a separate person to manage this kind of process and must pay a minimum of 40,000 per person in every department. But still, they are facing heavy losses because if a person leaves the industry, he may take all the excel sheets and paperwork with him. The purpose of our project is to provide a platform that will enable the user to continuously monitor production, and perform complex calculations (check how many machines and machines operator will be required for the order, Per day target calculation per hour as ) without any error, 3D&4D view of sample garments.

Project Objectives
  1. Provide software as a service (SaaS) to small and middle-level textile and garment industries to perform complex garment and knitwear calculations.
  2. Enable the manager of the firm to monitor the production rate.
  3. By using this admin manager will be able to see the capacity of two parallel order production rates if one order production increases beyond the specified limit system giving them an alert.
  4. Every industry has its own way to make the  Bill of material for garment production which sometimes confuses the startup industries in choosing which type of format we will provide the generic as well as a customization option.
  5. Provide tech pack for garment understanding so that companies can give them to the customers to understand what type of garment feature they want.
  6. Provide the Garment and knitwear industry to show thier garment in 3D View  so on the time of order placement customer can see 3D view of Sample of garment.
Project Implementation Method

We have chosen the Scrum inside Agile methodologies to develop the system with good productivity. it will help us to divide the project into components that can be develop incrementally.

To develop this SaaS Web-based Application we will use the Nodjs as backend and MongoDB as the Database frontend in react js complete project in MERN Stack. As Node Js is  powerful fast backend technology. its asynchronous and single threaded.

To show garment in virtual 3D view of garment of different sizes we will use the Three.js 

Benefits of the Project

1 - This project will provide a generic solution to the middle and small level industries for their complex garment making calculation ,Bill of material making, Parallel order production rate checking 

2 -This software provides services at a low price rate.

3 -The manager of the company will be aware of the order production rate statistics  for a given garment by using the software.

4 - The Garment and knitwear industry can show thier garment  of sample production in 3D View  so on the time of order placement customer can see 3D view of Sample of garment. 

5 - Will provide tech pack for garment understanding so that companies can give them to the customers to understand what type of garment feature they want.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Garment SAM Calculation

Garment SAM calculation involve how much quantity should be ready per day and  per hour gives information how many machines , and machine operators required to that task.

Bill of Material Maker 

Garment bill of material different companies have different styles and different different products have also this module will  make dynamic generic Bill of material which will have modification option also.

Parallel order Production Monitor

When two orders in production go hand in hand manager most of the time don't aware of if 30 percent of that specific order is reached or not .This module will give alert any two of order in parallel production cross the limit.

Gen Teck Pack for new Customers

When new customer come to garment industry he does not know which type of specific feature he may want to the model garment for example do he want to add the  front pocket or not.

Garment Production Samples 3D Viewer

After the sample is ready Companies send the sample to his customers and sometime hire model to have photshot which is very costly for small and middle level industries. Garment 3D viewer will allow customer of the  companies to see the ready sample in 3D and 4D Plane virtually .
