 In this technologically evolving era, it is a troublesome task to find good books for book readers. People find it very difficult to wander around stores in search of their favorite book and want to get everything with the convenience of home. Kitaabkiduniya application will provide a unique platform to book readers to find the books they need. We aim to develop such an application, where all book readers will be able to search the books according to their interests. User will mention his/her type of interest in his/her profile. We have applied Machine Learning Algorithms and integrate the recommender system with this web application which will recommend the items to users based upon their interest and search history. It will be helpful for users to choose the items. Most of the book readers maintain a small library at their home and we are providing a platform where they can share their collection with others too. A user will be able to maintain his collection as well as see what others have and everyone will be able to share their collection with each other. Book readers can sale, purchase, exchange, borrow or donate books including but not limited to use books as well. Kitaabkiduniya will also be very beneficial for booksellers as it would provide a best and unique platform for them where they can easily and efficiently sale their books and other related stuff too. This application would also be helpful for students as they will be able to share their class notes, class activities and class books on this application. The user will be able to rate or give feedback and reviews on books, which would help other book readers in the process of finding a new love. This application will build a community of book readers where they will be able to not only have forums discussions but also chat individually as well as groups. We are ambitioned to revive and maintain the trend and love of book reading Kitaabkiduniya. 

Project Objectives

Main objectives of Kitaabkiduniya web application are:

• To develop a community of book readers.
• Book readers can get the books of their interest easily.
• To provide a platform for vendors to sell out their books.
• Students would share their books and notes on the application.
• To give the best platform for book readers where they can share, exchange and donate their books.
• Group talk facility; where book readers can share their knowledge and can recommend books to other book readers, according to their interests or can give reviews upon the books.
• Ratings upon books would be beneficial for authors.
• Reviews will help book readers for selecting the books.

Benefits of the Project

Kitaabkiduniya application will build up a community among book readers. Donation of books would be a great benefit for poor and needy persons especially for those people who cannot afford to buy the books. Instead of throwing the books into the garbage or just to put them into the library shelves for years, we can exchange them with some other book readers. This web application will provide best platform to students from where they can borrow or exchange books or notes. Vendors can easily sale out their books or magzines. Rating and reviews on books,notes and magzines will be beneficial for authors or writers. Forums with build up a community of book lovers. We have applied Machine Learning Algorithms. It will recommend items to users based upon their search history. This will be beneficial for users to choose items easily. Also, user will mention his type of interset in his profile and based upon that items would be recommended to users, this will save time and effort of user for searching items.
