Project Objectives

Objective of project is to create opportinity for startup game developer to main change their focus to game development rather than worry about the animation, motion capture and moveset. He can simply use a low budget Kinect sensor and can simply make a humanoid mation capture using KienctCap and create a FBX format animation which is widely supported by all of Graphics Engine and Game Development Engines.

Project Implementation Method

Project Front End is done in .NET Framework (WPF Application), and uses Kinect SDK and KinectX nuget for Joints and ArUco marker detection. And Pyhthon Script is passed the collected data which is processed and coverted to FBX file.

Benefits of the Project

Project will help accelerate Junior Startup Game Developers to create humanoid motion captures without any pre knowledge of it. That'll help them focus on their Code and Art work rather than spending time on coding, or their buudget.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Final Deliverable contains a simple WPF Apllication which require the following SDKs and Hardware to Run:

  1. Kinect v2  
  2. Kinect v2 Adapter for Windows
  3. Kinect v2 SDK 
  4. FBX SDK for Python
  5. Python 2.7 or 3.3
