This project is about design and implementation of a mobile embedded system to monitor IoT based monitoring system of the generator. The idea of on-line monitoring system integrates a GSM modem, with Arduino Uno and different sensors. It is installed at the generator. If any abnormality or an emergency situation occurs the system sends SMS to the mobile phones through GSM programmed in the microcontroller. This mobile system will help to identify problems before any catastrophic failure and also the maintenance cost is reduced and life of the generator can be increased

•Selection of sensors and design of sensor circuitry according to the requirement, range, availability and feasibility.
•Initial testing and analysis of sensors using Arduino microcontroller.
•Sensors integrated with software which used calculations, formulas and data manipulation techniques applied for scaling and desired output.
•Analog data is obtained from sensors. Data is scaled and sent to WEMOS D1 Mini communication module for processing and further transmission.
•WEMOS D1 Mini uses C++ language for data processing procedures.
•A GSM module will be used to establish communication between mobile device and GPRS as it enables us to send message to alert the user about status of parameters of generator
•Different libraries are installed and respective codes are implemented in the Arduino to manipulate each type of data from sensors.
SAVES TIME:
To maintain
generators without going at each site and to
avoid going far to look after each generator on weekly basis
EFFICIENCY RELIABILITY:
A system which enables higher authorities to keep watch on their site
generators. A
system which is much scalable to add growing number of generators in one
platform.
REDUCES PAPERWORK:
To reduce
the need of manually record the working of generator.
PREDICTIVE:
No need for approximations. The Monitoring System provides the report before it breaks down
The single phase motor is modelled as single phase generator which is used to monitor above mentioned parameters.AN IoT module is used to monitor parameters on the internet and GSM module is used to send alert messages to user mobile phones.
