Project Area of Specialization Internet of ThingsProject SummaryElectronic devices used in daily life are being equipped with IoT in order to make them interconnected and connected to the Internet. According to a recent study, billions of connected electronic devices will be deployed in smart cities by 2022. Smart cities in present are not smart enough to provide automatic first aid to a person after any mishap. To cover this drawback, we will design a complete concept for latest smart cities including Automatic Accident Alert System, Automatic Fire Alarm System, Traffic Controlling System and Air Pollution Monitoring using IoT. This system will help in making surety for saving a person's life while driving or from any other mishap.
It is saying that world is a global village now through IoT world could be a global home where millions of devices and sensor connected at cities and homes will talk to each other, with human and human will talk back to the cities and homes.
Now we can control things and devices of our cities, monitor them over internet globally from anywhere in the world just like we control them at home. Driving can be safe now in smart cities by interconnecting them to authorities though internet in such a way that when any mishap occurs the location and contact number of the driver is mailed to authorities using IoT.

Project ObjectivesIf someone has listened to a project and have some study about it he can never make this project until he set goals and objective that should be achieved. So, starting any project needs goals and direction to achieve those goals
During this project we will achieve following goals.
- IoT based city/industrial automation system.
- IoT based city/industrial protection system from fire, gas leakage, and hazard gases with alarm and auto message to the authorities
- IoT based Automatic Accident Alert System
- IoT based Automatic Fire Alarm System
- IoT based Traffic Controlling System
- IoT based Air Pollution Monitoring
Although we will use many components in our project to explain every component is not possible some of the major components that will be used in our project and their technical specification will be discussed. For the hardware implementation of smart city using internet of things we need following equipments:

- Node MCU (ESP8266-12e)
- LCD 20x4 with IIC serial interfacing

First of all, data from the environment of Traffic Signals is collected through different kind of sensor. Second things that is needed to implement the hardware is Controller which are the main part of our project, all the data collected by different kind of sensor will be gathered at microcontroller and these controllers will process this data to extract useful information from them. Third thing that is needed is authorities control over city appliances i.e vehicels, buildings, industries, street lights, cameras, enviornment, traffic etc. So that they can provide the fast assistance to the public. All the data will be connected to web servers at the police stations, rescue departments through internet of things collecting data from sensors.
Benefits of the ProjectFuture of IoT is very bright who stick with IoT hopefully will enjoy most respect and healthy income because this is a rising star from previous years to now IoT covers more and more area in future may be the whole world connect through IoT. Our presented proposal propose a wide range of benefits as the world is moving towards Iot, every thing will be connected and maintaind through wireless control through IoT. In such situation the idea we propsed works as “icing on the cake” as the major issues in the current era are the accidents in the city and not able to provide the fast aid. Our proposed system promises to save 1000s of lives, time management and ease in daily city life monitoring for authorities!
