Our project is IoT based health monitoring glove which monitor vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen level and ECG of a patient in real time. It collects data from the controller and send it to the cloud where it is processed, analyzed and then through cloud, data will be sent to the Android application. Through Android application, data can be monitored by doctor and caretaker. The IoT based health monitoring glove can provide a platform to interconnect the available medical resources and offer smart, effective healthcare service to the people.
Our objective is to monitor patient’s health and send readings to doctor and care taker .The microcontroller takes the readings of human health with 5 parameters continuously i.e temperature , blood pressure , pulse rate , oxygen saturation level and ECG (Electrocardiography) through sensors placed on the hands by using glove. Then these readings send to mobile application which is visible to patient’s care taker and doctor of patient by accessing the mobile application , entering email address and providing password . This glove also generates an alert when readings reaches its critical condition and notify it to the doctor by generating a pop up on mobile application. Further an LCD is used on glove to monitor readings on the spot and we can also get readings of individual parameter by selecting a sensor placed on the glove.
This project can be implemented by following these steps:
• All sensors i.e. temperature, SPO2, BPM, BP and ECG connect with Raspberry pi with GPIO header.
• Processing is being done on data from sensors using python language.
• There values are uploaded on IOT platform to application through IP address
• Doctor, nursing staff and user can access these parameters anywhere in the world.
• Alerts need to be acknowledged by doctor or nursing staff to make them off.
• Mobile users can monitor patient’s vital signs using android application by entering email address and password
Iot based health monitoring glove is beneficial in many aspects of life, it can not only be used for monitoring sick patients but also can be used for monitoring healthy person too. It has the ability to show real-time data of anyone which is required. It is easy to wear and can continuously monitor patient’s vital signs. The sensors inside the glove are capable of measuring signi?cant physio-logical parameters like heartbeat, blood pressure, electrocardiogram, temperature, SPo2. Through IoT a secure record of any patient will be collected that will only be accessible to the ones who have access to it only. This project is also costeffective and will have the ability to tell a patients alarming signs of sickness that will be cureable before it chances gets worst. And also the mobile users will also be able to monitor the parameters through mobile application. It has the ability to provide security and facility of accessing all the parameters at any time of treatment or emergency. IOT based health monitoring glove will increasingly help people to monitor their health status.
As an increase in number of technology and people interactions within them, it is an era of advancement where a development of technology is considered as a positivity towards a easy way of living. One of the advancement which will be introduced in market is our our health glove that is easy to wear and measures the vital signs of the patients. The parameters of this glove will be measure through pythan language code that will done on Raspberry pie which will act as a input device towards our all of the sensors. These values will be measured firstly then will be uploaded to IoT platform to the application (app) through IP address. Engineering and as well as medical interlink is possible in this project too. It will also be helpful for us to give first aid for critical patients on the spot so that the doctor will handle the patient’s condition easily after reaching the hospital because data collection will be done on the spot.
