Nowadays, the need for energy is increasing exponentially and energy-saving or optimization is a key issue for researchers, therefore, great attention has been paid to load scheduling and energy optimization. The Internet brings a great change in human life. As new technologies are being introduced, people switch more toward automatic systems rather than performing certain tasks manually. In this regard, most of the work is done on this topic using time slots, but less work is done in the area of pricing and units consideration. To overcome these limits of improving energy, smart systems can be used for smartly monitoring and controlling household appliances for low billing. To develop a low-cost CLOUD-based smart scheduling system to optimize and control the usage of energy for less billing generation. To develop the main hub for managing the load as a whole.

Project Objectives

To design a smart system that helps us to schedule and optimize all the appliances for desired billing generation. To control the process of turning ON/OFF using the smart system. To schedule and manage all the above functions through the means of a web portal for cost-effectiveness. To manage the whole system by considering time effectiveness.

Project Implementation Method Benefits of the Project

Load scheduling is one form of load management action that allows companies to save energy by minimizing their demand. It is difficult to decide when and which load should be manually turned on/off according to the desired bill. In this regard, most of the work is done on this topic using time slots, but less work is done in the area of pricing and units consideration. To overcome these limitations of energy optimization, smart systems can be used for smartly monitoring and controlling home appliances for less billing generation. Also, a separate system is being used in this project to detect emergency situations or faults & monitoring of the parameters is done. The residential sector is a major contributor to the global energy balance, but the residential consumers can’t manage their electricity bills through manual scheduling of load.
