These days it is a tough job for many parents to take care of their baby since both might be doing jobs in the morning. Hence we have come up with an IOT based solution to monitor the baby if the parents are not there. IOT based baby monitoring system is a system to monitor a baby and keep the parents notified through a mobile application, about their baby's condition. The monitoring includes whether the baby is crying, whether the temprature of the baby is normal, or whether the baby's pulse rate is normal, etc. if any of these values are not normal then an alarm will ring and a notification will be sent to the parent's smart phones through a mobile application. The alarm will ring for the caretaker/maid who is in the house, to get alert and check the baby. A camera will also be placed to monitor the baby as well as the maid since we have heard of child abuse cases. Hence to conclude, the system will monitor the baby and his/her health condition and notify the parents if anything is not normal regarding the baby. Moreover it will monitor the maid too(through the camera), to check whether the maid is being abusive with the baby or not.
Nowadays, one of the most significant challenges that faces many families is baby care. Parents cannot continuously observe or monitor their babies all the time. The main objectives of this system to create a Non- contact-based baby monitoring system with Internet of Thing capabilities. This will help out parents to detect the cry, temperature and humidity. While the baby will also be monitored through the camera, the camera will be placed in such a way that it could monitor the surroundings of the cradle. It will help out the parents to see if someone is nearby it could detect and let parents call them. This system will help in decreasing the chances of the baby’s falling from the bed. The proposed system prototype is fabricated and tested to prove its effectiveness in terms of cost and simplicity and to ensure safe operation to enable the baby-parenting anywhere and anytime through the network. A baby monitoring system that can monitor the babies’ condition real time is proposed to solve these problems. It provides devices with the ability to transfer sensor data on the Internet without requiring intervention`. The function of IoT is control, real-time monitoring, and perform autonomy or autonomous function and optimization. Accordingly, the number of IoT applications continues to increase in different fields in this study, IoT is integrated into our baby monitoring system to achieve a rapid response time and to provide a greater sense of security for parents.
We have introduced a baby monitoring system that will monitor the baby while the parents are in their respective offices. This system will monitor baby’s health which include pulse rate, temperature, humidity, and even motion i.e. if the baby is getting out of the cradle.
Furthermore the baby will be monitored through cameras and microphones so that the parents can actually monitor their child as well as the maid. Because these days, maids have been caught in child abuse cases. Nowadays, one of the most significant challenges that faces many families is baby care. Parents cannot continuously observe or monitor their babies all the time. Nor they can rely on the babysitters to look after their child. This system “IoT Based Baby Monitoring System” will help such parents to monitor their baby while at work with help of an android app. Working on languages related to application development like Java, etc. Because Java is the official programming language for mobile application development. And all the hardware programming will be done on Arduino. And dataset related to baby cry detection based on AI is also to be gathered to implement AI.
