this project is related to automation and monitoring of grid station transformers according to load cycle by utilizing PLC and IOT technology.we have made an effrt to offer PLC based solution for scheduling of transformers at grid station according to load cycle.
the objective of this project is scheduling of transfomers at grid station according to load cycle with the help of PLC & IOT Technology.the system design will providea systematic solution to protect transformer and fault detection using PLC, phase monitoring & temperature sensing with power management of particular distribution and give notification through GSM and information sharing with grid station through IOT technology.
the single phase supply is given to input module of PLC.then single phase supply is also given individually to all output modules of PLC .The output modules of PLC are connected to loads(lamps,motors) through transformers.By using PLC ,the input & output elements of plant are wired up only to the inputs & outputs of controller.The program for the controlling sequence is written in the form of instructions,and just varying our software ,we can bring in changes we want.
the PLC based transformer scheduling system can be utilize for switch on/off transformers at grid stations,switching on/off capacitors for power factor improvement,controlling the operation of breakers in KESC and WAPDA.
