Project Area of Specialization Artificial IntelligenceProject SummaryCrime rates are increasing nowadays and became one of the never-ending problems in today’s world. Because of this incremented rate of crime, people are suffering from losses and fear. To prevent these alarming problems all over the world, there is a need for a criminal detection system that should be convenient in use. There are various other devices for detection available in the market but all these devices have no provision for automatic detection of criminals. This project proposes providing good and efficacious security to the public as well as private areas. An ongoing project has a wide range of applications in terms of motion and security detections. In this project, Machine learning Libraries are used which are as follows: Dlib, Numpy, Open CV, face recognizer. This anti-criminal device can be used for providing security peculiar to public sectors and private objects. Because of its attributed origin ability, it can discriminate between real criminals and innocent persons. Despite this, it has various other applications.
Project ObjectivesBecause of the unusual increment in rates of crime, there’s also a rapid increase in criminal’s number that is leading towards serious concerns relevant to security issues. The primary outcomes for this involve crime prevention and identification of criminals. With the advancement in technology, cameras specifically Safe City cameras in Pakistan have been installed in many private and public sectors to provide regulation activities. The objective of this work is to provide a face recognition system using an Artificial Neural Network. This system will detect and recognize the face at the same time.
Project Implementation MethodWe are making an Artificial Neural system that will be used with Smart City cameras for detecting different criminal records databases. In this project, the implemented system would detect faces in live recordings of different locations, whenever, a felonious person is recognized then this system automatically generates an alert email to all Police Headquarters.
Benefits of the ProjectAmong the most challenging areas in computer vision, face recognition is one of them with its vast applications including security, overcharge to entertainment points. Face recognition setups are beneficial in airports, banks, traffic signals, railway stations, and many other associations for guarding customers.
