There are five types of users; the volunteers, the ambulance driver, the welfare’s
administrator, the application’s administrator and the user donating and using the
welfare services. The new users will register themselves on the application and
will be given a choice if they also want to work as a volunteer. The ambulance
driver would be registered by the welfare’s administrator. The registered users
will login to the application and will be given a choice to choose between four of
the top welfare in the city. The user can avail the services provided by any of the
welfare according to the user’s preference and donate to a welfare of their
choice. The features the user can avail are mentioned below in section 3. The
volunteers would be assigned voluntary work randomly by the application as per
the user’s preference who is donating. The donors can keep track of their
donations and the volunteers can keep track of their voluntary work.

Project Objectives

To develop an android applications where users would be able to connect with volunteers and the welfare organizations to contribute according to their preference and ease.

Project Implementation Method

As mentioned earlier that there is an increase in poverty and wastage of food. Through this app we are tackling these two problems. We are trying to make a mobile app through which this extra food can be utilized in a better way.

We will be registering volunteers. They will be responsible to collect food from different places. For example, if there is some extra food at someone’s house, he/she can find the nearest location to donate that food through our app.and if there is no one to drop that food he/she can ask our volunteer through this app to take that food and drop there.

This project will be regarded as successful if app’s download is at least 500 in first month. In addition to that if it gets popular in half a year of release.

This project is truly an android app, not available for ios users.

Benefits of the Project

This application will bridge the gap between donors, needy people and welfare organizations by effectively managing food wastage from hotels, various gatherings and events and providing the excess food to the needy people.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

4.1 Functional Hierarchy 

4.1.1 Ambulance Service 

In this the user will be able to book an ambulance from the above stated welfares which provide ambulance service by sharing his/her location and the ambulance driver would be able to accept the request and a fixed amount is payable on completion which the user can pay through cash. 

4.1.2 Blood Donation 

In this feature the users who want blood donations for a specific blood group will be connected to the registered volunteers with the same blood group. 

4.1.3 Morgue 

In this feature the users can register at the morgue for their beloved deceased souls. 

4.1.4 Donation 

Donation can be in the form of money and any household item the user wants to donate. In this feature the users can donate online to the welfare or to the volunteer registered on the application according to their preference. 

4.1.5 Meal Donation 

In this feature the users can locate the dastarkhwans organized by the welfare and donate food which will be directly collected by the welfare‘s volunteer. The other option is to donate food to the volunteers registered on this application as per the donor’s preference and volunteer would collect the meal from the user.
