Project Summary

Industries in our country are using old manual palletization techniques which is consuming a great deal of time and less capability for palletization of the products on highspeed conveyor belts. Due to manual, there exists a great probability of human error which results in the shipment of faulty what is palletization of products into the market. The solution is to automate the robotic palletization process using a programmable logic controller and different sensors which can increase the capability and faster process.

Robotic palletizing gear helps in helping providers and corporations by lowering guide labor costs, making distribution and production flexibility out there, removing operators from unsafe regions, and enhancing the product and also the course of action excellent.

Palletizing Robots. Automated palletizing refers to an industrial robot palletizer performing the application automatically. Palletizing robots can be seen in many industries including food processing, manufacturing, and shipping. There is a large variety of robotic palletizers available with a large range of payload and reach

Our system is comprised of machine vision automatic robot palletization with a programmable logic controller which is going to palletize bottles of soft drinks in a particular placed box in sequence, In a frame of an industrial environment.

Our project is divided into two modules or parts:

  • Compact design; able to automate your palletizing in limited space
  • High flexibility; easy and quick changeover of products, packing patterns & layers

Project Objectives

  • The main objective of this project is to develop a Proof-Of-Concept (POC) experimental system for the industry which will reduce the palletization time from 10 mins to around less than 1.66 min per carat. Also, our prototype is extensively tested and optimized during the whole development process which gave results with high accuracy.
  • Cost-efficient: the proposed solution will be a cheaper cost compared to human beings.
  • Most of the industries in Pakistan are working manually, by the proposed solution industries will get the Automated industrial solution.

Project Implementation Method

  • In recent years, palletizing systems is gaining momentum from manual to automatic palletization systems. Product palletization quality is the main process to examine the standard of the product so as to satisfy customer demand within the market. Automatic robot palletization is applied using a programmable logic controller and different sensor techniques. However, the contribution of the Automate palletization in the manufacturing field is incredibly high in developed countries.
  • Still, many of the industries in developing countries like Pakistan have very little know-how or no knowledge about the recent advanced technologies which are modernizing the world. Manual industrial practices are still observed in many industries of the country due to which the quality of their products is heavily compromised. The use of modern-day cutting-edge technologies is changing each and every aspect of human life and these technologies are advancing the industries.

Benefits of the Project

  • A robot palletizer is programmable using a high-level language. Because high-level language is used, decisions can be made during the pallet loading process. Also, the robot can maneuver within the entire work development. Thus, the robot can use staging areas to help load the pallet with different size boxes. In order for the robot to work in a palletizing operation, specialized end-effectors must be designed especially for the ones being loaded. End-effectors used for palletizing include mechanical grippers and clamping devices, with adhesives.
  • Optimal solutions to the pallet loading problem. 'Optimal solutions are beneficial in establishing a methodology in the industrial application of pallet loading algorithms that involve robots or other pallet loading devices.

  • The proposed solution will be administered through interactive sensors.
  • The Complete Solution would help to elevate the level of quality assurance throughout the manufacturing sector at a much cheaper cost and less time with accuracy.

Budget estimate:

  • The total estimate of the project is about 1 lac because we have to create an industrial environment.
