An android application for online blood donation services. This can be used for emergency blood donation or can also be used by patients who needs blood on a routine basis like thalassemia, anemia, etc.

The scope of the product is to construct an android application through which a blood can be delivered to patients who require blood frequently, for instance, thalassemia and anemia patients and also patients who have emergency cases. The use of this application will allow users to request for blood without any location restrictions. This application includes Google Maps through which they can track nearby blood banks and also track the location and duration of the delivery.

Project Objectives

Our main objectives are:

1. To design an effective online system for emergency blood donation which has tracking system and means of communication between the donor and the recipient. Arranging blood in many cases are time consuming. This app will help you to request blood and will be delivered quickly.

2. To design an application for patients who require blood frequently like thalassemia, anemia, etc where they can track their blood schedules and can request blood.

Project Implementation Method

Project is implemented on android studio with language java. For realtime databases we have used Firebase. For tracking systems and realtime location we are using google maps API.

Benefits of the Project

This project will benefit the areas of medical where there is frequent need of blood or there are many patients with thalasemia, anemia like diseases where they can fully track there blood injections and can schedule it.

This can also benefit in emegency cases where there is need of blood in short amount of time and the screening consumes alot of time. By this application they can request blood in quickly and easily.

Technical Details of Final Deliverable

Final deliverables will consist of SDS and SRS and test cases of the project.
